The difference between TN760 and TN730 Toner Cartridges

With the spread of COVID-19, we have to work at home. Brother HL-L2350DW and MFC-L2750DW is becoming more and more widely used as the best printers for home use.

This article will analyze the toner cartridge they fits and how to save more money from the toner cartridge. You will also get the detailed method of how to replace the toner cartridge from this article. Let's jump in!

Cartridge Specification

The matching toner cartridge of HL-L2350DW and MFC-L2750DW are TN760 and TN730 Toner Cartridges.

The TN730 is a standard yield cartridge that prints approximately 1,200 pages. The TN760 is a high yield cartridge that contains more toner and prints approximately 3,000 pages.

Brother printers that use the TN730 cartridge can also use this compatible TN760 replacement. This compatible TN760 should fit in the same slot as the TN730 and should install just the same.

It is worth noting that the TN760 or TN730 toner cartridge needs to be used together with the DR730 Drum Unit.

Drum unit typically requires replacement after the use of 3 or 4 toner cartridges, because the drum units have higher page yields (12,000 pages).

Whats the difference between TN760 and TN730?

Service Life

The amount of page yield determines the service life of TN760 and TN730. Since the page yield of TN760 (approximately 3,000 pages) is more than twice of the TN730 (approximately 1,200 pages). Therefore, the TN760 will be more durable, with lower replacement frequency, and more suitable for users with a large number of printing needs. Moreover, compared with TN730, the cost per page will be lower.

Cost per Page

Cost per page (CPP) is determined by dividing the cost of that printer cartridge by the printer cartridge's page yield. Through the cost per page, we can find out which product has better cost performance.

It can be seen from the above data that the TN760 high yield toner cartridge not only has more page yield, but also has lower cost per page, which is more consistent with the consumption habits of general printer users.
