How to extend the life of TN-760 toner?

The use of printer cartridges is indeed a huge cost for users. Long term use is even more expensive than buying a new printer. The smartest way is not only to buy a compatible toner cartridge, but also to extend the service life of the toner cartridge, which can save you a lot. Learning the following operations can make you use your toner cartridge more fully. Let's go on:

Shake the Toner Cartridge Side to Side

Brother TN-760 uses powdered toner. Over time, the powdered toner in the cartridge will agglomerate and unevenly distributed, resulting in toner waste. To extend the life of the toner cartridge, you need to remove the toner cartridge from the printer regularly, shake it to redistribute the toner, and then reinstall it.

Turn on Toner Saving Mode

To do this go to your Brother print settings, Depending on the laser printer model you can, change print mode to: Draft mode, Fast mode or Toner-saver mode, all use less ink by reducing the DPI (dots per inch). Utilize one of these modes when content matters more than print quality; they’re often perfectly acceptable for working with intra-office documents.

Purchase high yield toner cartridges

Compared with the standard cartridge, the high print volume cartridge contains more toner and can print more pages. They use a large toner bin and double the amount of printing. In addition, the cost per page of high yield cartridge is less than the standard yield. In other words, high yield cartridge will save you more money.

Storage of the toner cartridges

Temperature and humidity have an impact on the service life of the toner cartridge. If the temperature is too high or too low, it will affect the service life of the cartridge. If the storage space is too wet, it will also make the powdered toner agglomerate. Place the toner cartridge upright in a cool and dry indoor place. Seal the cartridges in their original packaging until you need to use them can help to extend their lifespan.
